This new book is the English version of La Malbaie : les premières années that was featured in Bulletin No. 70 in January 2023.
The book recounts the arduous beginnings of La Malbaie during the French Regime. He introduces the families who lived or worked there between 1687 and 1760, as well as the pioneers who settled there in the early years of the English Regime.
The book (soft cover, 126 pages) is available online at the Musée de Charlevoix and physically at the Museum in La Malbaie, or from the author for friends in the Ottawa-Gatineau area. The original French version is similarly available as well as physically at the TOU & Cie store at La Malbaie, the Hotel Tadoussac Gift Shop and both physically and online at the Louis-Fréchette Library in Gatineau.
