Daniel Buckles: New Home, New Art After nearly 30 years living in Ottawa, Daniel Buckles and his wife Debra Huron have moved to Toronto to be close to their grandson and family. As part of celebrating life in Ottawa, and in keeping with a longstanding interest in food issues, Daniel curated and donated a collection of new paintings to raise funds for the work of the Just Food Community Farm. The opening weekend in May was combined with a book launch for Connecting Worlds, a memoir on the themes of transformative and participatory action research. An extract from the book appeared as a full-page feature in the August 20th edition of the Ottawa Citizen. Several collections of Daniel’s painting, drawing and photography are brought together on the SAS² website. Have a look! Bulletin 74 October 2024
